Hello and welcome!

My name is Kamaria, and this is my ePortfolio for ENC 3021: Feminist Rhetoric(s) course with Ms. B. I am excited to share my journey, insights, and learnings from this transformative course.

In this ePortfolio, you will find a collection of my written works, reflections, community check-ins, course readings notes, multimedia projects, and more, which showcase my understanding and application of feminist rhetorical analysis.

I invite you to explore my work, engage with my ideas, and join me in this experience of learning about feminist rhetorics(s). I hope that my ePortfolio not only demonstrates my growth and achievements in ENC 3021 but also sparks dialogue and inspires further exploration into the rich, diverse world of feminist rhetorics.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my ePortfolio. Enjoy!!

This course calls into question the way Western rhetorical theories have been thought about and taught through a white, patriarchal lens. We will begin and end our course with a central question: what is feminist rhetoric(s)?

We will explore these key questions over the semester:

  1. What is feminist rhetoric(s)? How is it similar/different to the paternal legacies (Aristotle, Isocrates, Plato, Quintilian, etc.) of rhetoric? Why is feminist rhetoric(s) important? What (and who) does it value?

  2. What is rhetoric?

  3. What is the relationship between rhetoric and power? Rhetoric and identity? Rhetoric and culture?
